Meet the Advanced Retirement Team

Randy Hoffman

Founder and President

Randy started his insurance journey in 2000, learning from some of the industry’s best. He has since taken that training and become a trusted leader and a top rated, well respected advisor in the Independent Insurance Industry.

Randy is the owner and founder of Advanced Retirement Group. He established the company in June of 2005 to assist consumers in navigating the complexities of retirement planning which involves teaching them about conserving their savings and nest egg, Medicare, Medicaid and now today, the Affordable Care Act.

He graduated Cum Laude from Emporia State University with a degree in Recreation Administration and a minor in Business. When Randy isn’t spending time with a client you might find him spending time with his girlfriend, enjoying the outdoors, playing golf, hunting or fishing.

Randy enjoys helping people understand the complexities of healthcare and explaining it in a way his clients can understand and make an informed decision. He strives to provide excellent customer service, taking care to always do the right thing for his clients. Randy’s philosophy on customer service – “Pick up the phone and call me, I’m here for you” ‐ adds a human element back into a highly automated industry.

Jan Hatfield

Independent Agent

After retiring from a successful 27-year career in the aircraft industry, Jan found a new passion for helping people with their healthcare. As of 2023, he is now entering his 7th year as an independent healthcare broker and agent for Advanced Retirement Group (ARG).

The healthcare industry has provided him with a way to make a difference in the community by educating and sharing solutions with clients to assist in their healthcare needs and options. Jan has found true joy and happiness in serving others in the community and offering them affordable and reasonable healthcare plans.

He is currently involved in a networking group called ” The Group,” a local collaboration of independent small business owners and business professionals. As an avid golfer he has served six consecutive years as a volunteer of the Wichita Open. He served four years on the Arkansas City Board of Directors at the Burford Center for the Arts in Arkansas City. He is a seasoned musician and is a member of two prominent bands in the Wichita area.

When he is not helping clients find the right plan for their health insurance he is spending time with his wife Teressa, his mini goldendoodle, Chai and his nine incredibly beautiful and perfect grandchildren.



  I would give more stars if allowed. Randy Hoffman helped us with so many things when we needed advice on how to proceed with Medicare and supplements. We needed extra help as we were bearing down on deadlines. Randy was there for us even though he was planning a vacation out of country. He called us and made sure we knew he was available to answer our questions. In the end we were able to beat the deadline and we have Randy and his office to thank. We’ll be forever grateful. We even received a follow up message several months later and we appreciated the caring gesture. Randy helped us through a very difficult situation.   I have worked with ARG providing commercial health insurance for several of the companies I have been involved with over the years. As I approached the retirement phase of life for me. I discovered the government and healthcare industries have made this very difficult and confusing. Medicare, supplemental plans, prescription drug plans, etc. The staff a Advanced Retirement were not only diligent and thorough but very clean when it came to figuring out what would be best for my wife's circumstances as well as mine. While different, they needed to work together. This is a long term commitment, since situations and circumstances change from year to year, and that's where ARG excels and helps simplify the entire process. I can't stress the importance of getting the experts involved to assure you get what you need.The most important point I want to make is their service. It doesn't mater what your questions are from understanding the "plan", billing and claim errors, changes in prescriptions and the list goes on.
